Numpty Question about iphone

I've just got a new iphone and have downloaded a new ringtone. How do I get it from my PC onto the iphone? Apologies if I sound a numpty but would appreciate advice

I think you'd just transfer it across using iTunes.

Drag and drop your ringtone onto iTunes then sync the phone.

I'm not 100% sure as i only have an iTouch.

Of the two I use the Installer.app/SendSong method - saves faffing around with file extensions and other nonsense.

I don't have an Iphone, prefer HTC, BUT .....can't you just e-mail the ring tone to your iphone from your laptop?

Hi Fred, If you have bought the ring tone through i tunes then just plug your phone into the computer, (with the white lead thats part of your charger) then itunes should start automatically if not double click it to open it. Oncer i tunes starts just go to "file" in the top left hand corner and in the dropdown menu you will find the sync iphone button, click this and after a couple of minutes the ringtone will be on your phone! If not let me know cos there are other things that may need changing.
