Our meets are always good natured and relaxing, but this meet seemed to lift everyone even more, such a brilliant display and atmosphere in the woods this weekend!

we were pleased to see several new faces who I hope will become regulars at our future NW meets, the 'old hands' made them very welcome, thanks lads. :)

The usual wood processing for the fire, the popular bushcraft car boot, a bit of archery with Tinky Pete's bows, (the arrows eluded us sometimes) a bit of a bimble around showing our newbies the local Fauna and flora, watching a bit of re-enacting on site, having a laugh and just soaking up the woods great energy!

Despite some peoples blinkered opinion that these meets can be lethargic and dull, nothing could be further from the truth. There's always something going on, be it plant I.D for the pot etc. Hangi and other cooking demo's, woodcraft skills or testing out that new piece of gear for the upcoming Scandinavian, Canadian or Alaskan trip. oh and did I mention there were a few bluebells? :)

Here's a couple of pic's I took....

then we had a bit of localised cold weather -14 :(

Those pics of the bluebells are mega, nice one Steve.

Cheers all for the recharge of the batteries, a top up of smokey ruggedness and a bit of inspiration.

Roll on the next one...:red:

It looks to have been a total chill out (well, literally one morning ! :) ) weekend.
Beautiful site, good company, the fire's lit, the kettle's on….it's all good :D

Thank you for the photos; I know I'm not the only one who wished it were nearer.
