Hi folks, this meet and any future meets at North Wood will be postponed following the Government guidelines to self isolate and impose social distancing. however I may have to attend to dismantle the camp and salvage essential items. if this virus doesn't beat us I fear HS2 will, many thanks all for your support and help over the last 10+ years.

I know it's necessary, but it's still a shame.
There are a lot of us who looked forward to those photos every year, and really enjoyed seeing them, hearing of how it went :)

I hope when this is all by, and HS2 doesn't succeed in destroying it, that you have the pleasure of the woods and the company again.

I feel like adding the Vulcan benediction to Live Long and Prosper :)

I'm hearing you Mary and it is with heavy heart I wrote that. on a personal level I and my partner are in the high risk bracket and we are already self isolating. HS2 will have its way soon and destroy this ancient woodland. on a good note I already have a replacement lined up in the shape of Lords Wood, brand new adventures ahead! :)

I know folks aren't supposed to take bulbs, etc., but bluebells produce millions of seeds, and they come up like grass when sown someplace suitable.
I think a handful of seeds scattered by the folks who visited the woods would not be a bad epitaph. Keep the spirit of it alive :)

I hope you all stay safe and healthy and enjoy the woods again for years to come.

Steve, It's been a pleasure to attend NW these last 10 years.

I speak for many when I say thanks for all the organising you have done during this time.

Many friendships were made, births celebrated and deaths mourned around the firepits.

Many thanks once again.

Although things are pretty bad at the moment we all need something to look forward to. Hopefully North Wood can rise like a phoenix from the ashes in the future.
