Hi,

Has anyone got one of these?? Not the old RM type but the current version....

The NZD to Euro XR is a lot better then it was so the price has come down from outer space to stratosphere.....

I don't own one but I have worn a fully loaded one, very comfy, definitely a pack to look at if you plan to carry that much gear.

More comfy than the VC????

Sorry, you've lost me there, its probably something obvious, but what is a VC?

Edited to add:

You mean Vector Commando don't you? Duh!

Yes, probably, however I have not worn the Vector in years, my nephew has it now, he should flog it as I don't think he uses it either.

My gear and load have changed considerably in the past ten to fifteen years so I am used to carrying much less, the chap who let me try his Recon was someone who knew his stuff and packed his gear sensibly and with that in mind I'd say yes, the Norrona is probably a more comfortable pack. However I really did like the design of the Vector. :)

Yep VC = Vector Commando in my world...

When you're camping with young kids you end up hauling quite a bit of kit for everyone...The VC does a good job TBH.

The Norrona appeals as its a sensible colour and Norrona haven't chosen to cover every inch in PALS webbing. It just looks like a proper rucksack...

Back then when I saw it (special order for some Greek Raider Commandos, some already had the Lowe Alpine Samson and/or the Berghaus Vulcan) I wanted to try it, but as I said, not designed for my height. Shame, I like the "Synkroflex" system, height/waist/shoulder straps adjustment options, and also the separate sleeping bag compartment.

It is a huge pack, but I truly believe even full loaded it's comfortable for long distance trekking. And has a nice color, I guess IRR olive green.
