My Nerrona Recon hood has Velcro sewn around the edge which I'm presuming is for attaching a fur trim. Does anybody know where in this country you can purchase the fur trim ?

There isn't one for the Recon, maybe they planned to produce one originally. However the fur trim for some of the other Norrona jackets can be used instead. Alternatively, make your own. :)

See this earlier post for more info.

I just cheated on my m90 parka, and added synthetic fur trim (UKP 4-5, I used half of what that bought me). Not as good as the real thing, by any means, but will do in a pinch. I have a fox that will go on an anorak, and on a better parka. The parka will be made after the pattern in Edna Wilders book (Secrets of Eskimo Skin Sewing), but with a poly-cotton shell and with either wool or synthetic liner for a warmth. The is how most parkas are made up in the northern Canada these days, according to reports I have read. or one could take Wilders suggestion and use all fake fur...

The m90 will be used as a daily parka "in town", and is still to recieve handwarmer pockets on the front. All in the name of making it (1) into a better parka, and (2) not look like SEK 195 surplus.

Air rifle and bunnies if you ask me!

Apart from the wet smell!
Remember the 1970's parkas?
