According to the seller these are the British made equivalents of Austrian Dachstein mitts. To quote: "They're not made anymore, the factory has shut down. There were two factories - one in Bingley and one in Shipley, West Yorkshire. I'm showing my age now, but I used to be a part of the manufacturing and I also used to sell them as a sales rep to various mountaineering shops. The current Dachsteins are inferior to Dachsteins of 10/15 years ago. They are much thinner. The Everest Mitts are equivalent to the old Dachsteins. Most of the labels have disappeared, but they said "Everest Mitts Made In England". I can vouch for my pair: beautiful, thick boiled wool. :)
