It's exciting to hear about new (old) wildlife back in the countryside. I've always been slightly jealous of the countries which still have wild creatures roaming around beyond the usual deer/foxes/badgers.

Warning on the news today, somewhere near Peterlee, drivers to be aware of young boar misbehaving on the roads - with some film of them. They looked half starved.

To be fair we've got quite a lot of wildlife of our own, otters, ferrets/polecats arguably, stoats, birds of prey, feral and real wildcats, polemartins.. quite a long list really.

So not really keen on any novelty introductions of bears, wolves, large carnivores, etc and not sure yet about the beavers.

Separate thread -Apparently there are some wallabies living wild in the UK in a couple of locations, and a very naughty one that keeps escaping from a farmer, and might be a co-conspirator with the beaver......
