i am learning to coil guys
there are two [2] methods
one [1] being a figure of eight
the other being an oval/circle
both start the same and can be coiled both tied or removed from tarps tents and-such
technique one [1]
technique two [2]
both methods are quick and easy and done in seconds
handy tip
if the guys are staying on tarps or tents and-such
start where the guy is tied to the tarp or tent
there are two [2] methods
one [1] being a figure of eight
the other being an oval/circle
both start the same and can be coiled both tied or removed from tarps tents and-such
technique one [1]
- hold the tail between the thumb and palm
- gently wind the guy round your palm
- keep each wind next to and not over each other
- when you got about a two and a half foot left
- gently remove from your hand
- clench the coil in your hand leaving an inch or two for next step
- start at the part away form you winding the rest over the coil as if to make a noose
- when a few inches left push end thru all loops at the top of the second winding and loop it back on itself to create a single knot
- then store as necessary
technique two [2]
- hold the tail between the thumb and palm
- gently wind the guy round your thumb and little or next to little finger
- wind next in a figure of eight [8]
- when you got about a two and a half foot left
- gently remove from your hand
- clench the coil in your hand leaving an inch or two for next step
- start at the part away form you winding the rest over the coil as if to make a noose
