Moose crown, deer antler, birch bark, masur birch, silver, and a Mattias Baudin blade.

It was a tough decision - I decided that the moose crown was hard enough to take it - I piened straight onto it without a washer. As the thing is epoxied as well and its a light duty blade I don't think it will be a problem.

Brisa sell the crowns. They are not cheap, but compared to antler the moose crown is a wonderful material. The butt piece feels really strong :p The spacers and the bolster on this one are antler - which by comparison is a bit pithy and really porous (had to harden it up with liberal amounts of superglue. If I had a choice I'd go for the moose for the bolsters and spacers as well - it's much harder, I guess it's more bone than anything - and it's a nicer colour. I wish I'd bought more of it.

I'll make a sheath over Christmas.
