Greetings everyone. I'm new to this group but not to the outdoors. I live in southern Alberta, Canada - near Drumheller. I've been in and out of the backcountry all my life and don't get to enjoy that area nearly as much as I would like to. I'm 59 this year so sleeping on the ground is a bit uncomfortable these days

Just wanted to say hello.

Yes, I also recently discovered that an army roll mat sometimes can be more comfortable than the bare ground, especially if it's frozen.

One should be open minded to those modern inventions.
