I bought a new leatherman wave off VanDeRooster that arrived on Monday morning. As it didn't come with anything I thought I'd have a go at making a belt pouch to hold it in. I already had a nylon pouch that I have never used that came with the one I lost and the fit was pretty poor with loads of room for it to flop about.

The new pouch is 3mm wet formed leather and 2mm for the back and belt loop. I dyed it first and glued with contact adhesive so that I could then stitch with white thread. A few small mistakes but they are only noticeable really close up. It is smaller and a much better fit than the factory sheath so hopefully this leatherman will just stay attached to me and not risk falling out of my rucksack.

With nylon sheath for comparison

Great work. Nawt beats a proper sheath for a multi-tool.
Mine are 6+ years old and still going strong. The plastic ones wear in no time.
