i have been looking for the holy grail of leather knives as some of you guys no, i have seen a lot and bought quite a few, and then someone posted one up the other week, a leather knife that caught my eye, so asked me good old mate duncan to make a blank similar in shape to what i had seen, i then changed the shape to suit my needs, and sharpened it to how i like my leather cutting tools.
i then set about rehandling the blank, i went with box elder burl, thanks to our pikebite. (thanks rich) and went about making my own mosaic pin for the middle.
i have to say it is perfect for me, as you can push and pull cut with this, so you have the best of both worlds, and i think i may have found what i was looking for.
i knocked up a quick sheath for this also.
so a big thank you goes to duncan for making this happen, and for listening to me, in what i wanted out of this.
