I recently bought some auscam material from evilbay with the intention of making a tarp. That didn't quite work compared to what I was hoping.
So, now gutted that it cost me £20 to get stitched together (I am a Yorkshire man!), I had a trawl on the internet and found a diy hammock tutorial.
I unpicked the centre seem, re-hemmed, whipped the ends, found some cord for a suspension system and put together these for the kids. They also take my weight too, bonus.

And in use. At this point I'd only made one, the eldest is in my DD.
