I found this in a wholesaler`s catalogue and had to give it a try:
19,-
Blade 440A, 100x30x2,7mm
solid Linerlock
smooth action
good enough finish
acceptable fitting of the wooden slabs
I bought it because I liked the deep and slightly curved shape of the blade. There is, as with a real Nessmuk, enough room between edge and handle to accomodate the fingers and still be able to cut up vegetables etc on a flat surface.
I have to remove 1mm of potruding metal from the rear end of the edge to be able to rest the edge on a surface completely. And the bolster has some rather sharp ridges which have to be smoothened, too.
Action of the joint is smooth thanks to some plastic washers as found in my Benchmade Ambush. But since they are only 8mm in diameter, I dont think that the whole knife will stand too much twisting action.
All in all, especially considered the price, a good tool for normal kitchen duties.
