I'm not sure if people here are aware of this, but the Guardian website has been running a fun little feature for a while now. Every couple of days they post a picture of a bird and give readers 48 hours to identify it, but ask people not to give away the answer too soon. It seems like a nice way to learn about identifying various bird species.
