Well I got the pattern from Mary some time ago and one rainy day a couple of weeks ago I started it.

It was a lovely peach colour and 2 satchets of brown dye turned it out purpleish.

I acquired some copper and brass welding rods and settled on fasteners for the neck and cuffs. Don't know how practicle they will be but

So here it is.

:D :D

That's really good :) and I do like the little penannulars too
HWMBLT just leaves his sleeves buttoned over too, and only tightens them up if it's really cold and windy.

Do you find it comfortable to wear ?

Thanks folks.

Just got the final bits on today but will be wearing it soon.

It didn't start off as the thickest of blankets but 'll report back (with maybe a few action shots:eek:) when I've been out in it.

Isn't it great how even the most practical patterns can be adapted by individuals creativity! Toddy, you must feel really pleased to see your pattern spawning all these lovely variants :)

Is there a thread or other instructable on how you made those brilliant pennanulars, Monikieman?
