My recent Michael Morris FF purchase

Here are a few pics of my latest knife from Michael Morris. I asked Michael to make this one from a rasp file and what a fantastic job he has done including the specially design loop on the sheath. Fit and finish is superb. Last pic is with a recent MM British Blades GB knife for size.

What's the loop for on the sheath? Is it for hanging as a necker?

I just wanted the option of adding a cord to fix to my belt or adding a lanyard.
