My next big project. Initial Help please

I have a Carp fishing Sleeping bag which is really warm and big and snuggly and soft and.........

You get the idea

Anyway I am wanting to make an Aussie Swag to cover it so i can sleep outside in the summer etc etc (The bag is to big for an army issue gortex)

I want a bathtub style groundsheet for the base, to house the foam mattress etc (Yes luxury I know) and a canvas top. my question is where can i buy the groundsheet material? I am thinking of the thick rubbery stuff.

Obviously Weight and folded size is not an issue

might be worth a punt as they do a lot of marine stuff, waterproof shouldn't be too different.

How about a bit of pond liner from your local garden centre. Shouldn't be too expensive.

Any army surplus place at the Landrover show was selling ex army ground sheets - black on one side and silver on the other. looked about perfect for what you need and only a tenner. Cant remember the details though but it might trigger someones thoughts
