2 1/2 hours is how long it took me to make this little friction folder (including making a cup of coffee 1/2 way!) The only criteria I had was that it had to have a blade just under 3" long to be "legal" EDC. I did a quick scribble on the back of an envelope and that was all the planning done, and made the knife as quickly as I could.
I am really very pleased with it. Makes a nice change from the over polished one I normally make!
The blade is forged 2mm 01 steel, overall length open just under 7". The handle is a rough bit of very weathered Oak, the pin is a nail, complete with its head on one side which I hammered, pinned on the other side, with a square washer. I cut the slot with a coarse hand saw.
I am now working on the 1/2 hours sheath for it! Pic to follow.
Next will be the 2 1/2 hours bushie!
