My most recent bit of carving.
I have always like the look of Prehistoric Goddesses/Venuses so had a crack myself.
It is deliberately crude in design :)
Made from Pine , dyed with leather dye and all carved with a Mora.

I like that John she got a nice big booty, reminds me of those ancient Incan and African fertility goddess statues although the Inca ones were usually precious metals and the African ones made from Blackwood

great work John that's a nice bit off craftsmanship and i agree dredhead it does have a look off the figure from 13th warrior

It certainly looks authentic.

My friend has a big collection of tribal carvings, -very different to tourist tat

(And yes, some of them are dyed wood rather than the real thing, interestingly)
