My first wood carving, ever

So, this was my first hand wood carving, ever. I've used a dremel in the past but I decided to pick up some chisels, and this is the end result.

I used one of the boards I made

Will finish it with either Danish oil or Tung oil.

Neat job that, can't have been easy doing the swirly stuff with the grain changing like that. Going to be a cherished gift I reckon.

Thanks guys. Wasn't easy. Totalled around 6 hours when you factor in the design. I slightly made a mess on the knotwork but I think I saved it. Haha.
