at every sussex meet, I try to learn a new skill and then go home and practise it. on the last one kepis was doing a net making demo, which made me realise that this is a very useful skill to know and I wanted to know how to do it 
so the first thing I did was carve the tools for the job which is a skill on its own, once I had the tools I got straight to work on the net.
I used cheap plastic cord for my net, that way its not a big lose if i mess it up. I really enjoyed doing this and I thank Kepis for teaching it to me.
anyway here is my net that my cat has now claimed his :)

Looking good there matey. Mines coming on, but slowly. Had to unpick a couple of times but getting there. Just doubled the number of loops and about to change to a different thread, then to reduce down again.

Well done :D
Kepis too, it's not an easy thing to teach clearly.

I note that the poundland stores have garden twine in again, both plastic and hemp, good stuff to practice on and they both make pretty sound nets for storage or the garden :)

cheers,
M
