finished my first kuksa, I'd like to say I used only hand tools but cheated a bit with the sanding the handles uneven and so is the levelling of the rim of the bowl but that's "character"

I boiled it in salt water for a two hours and it still leaks when hot water goes in?
The main problem though is the crack

Is there a way I can fix the problem as I'm not sure my hands will stand another go :).

Great first go, your next will be easier;)
The reason for the crack is likely due to the position of the heartwood, in pic no.2 you can see the concentric rings of the heartwood at about the same level as the bottom of the handle, try to make the whole kuksa from one side of the center of the growth to reduce shrinkage issues.
