My belt kit.

While not my cup of team (and I do put things on my belt) I think it looks quite well executed and looks like it would work pretty well for the intended purpose.

I wonder how balanced it is, 1 kg of water on one side and 500g of water on the other - do the other pouches balance out?

Both water pouches (with white GID-patches) hangs in front, on my stomach, 1 litre in both. And the ½ litre poch hangs off the shoulder strap on the left. So 1kg on one side and 1.5kg on the other side. And the other pouches also take part in making it as balanced as possible. So yes I have had balance in mind from start.

Like in drinking; one sip from one bottle. Next sip from the other bottle. And so on, to keep balance.
I like to think I have thought of everything.

Super. Be interested to hear how you get on with it and what (if any) tweaks or changes you make as you use it, good job :)

Do see the point with wearing them hate my daysacs with sweaty backs but if I got caught by my ex army mates wearing webbing my life wouldn’t be worth living, in P takes. Used to love my tropical trousers when walking years ago.

Nowadays can wear a JHW only which is a brilliant piece of kit and my copy Black lightweights on limited occasions

Everything in a belt kit. All be it I am cheating with the rocket pack having lightweight kip bag and ground sheet in. If I had a fancy super compressing air mat there is room in a utility pouch for it. Cheap kip mat bungied to the outside.

Change the basha for a silnylon tarp and replace the crusader MK1 for something smaller. The grub is (old ) MRE’s so dehydrated would also save bulk.

The mag pouches are empty so could be swapped for utility as well.

I had forgotten how much will fit.

Yep. I’ve not seen an Allen kit on my surplus rummaging lately. Maybe people hang onto them?

The numbat is one of the better looking civi chest rigs.

The US FLC is a really good (potentally cheap) base if you want front pouches and belt together. I really like the removable “Fanny pack”.
The Helikon Foxhole bag might be a good alternative, not sure if it is a dry bag as that might be a nice upgrade. Attachments look more versatile.
