It's that time again and a mans thoughts turn to rush dips and tallow in general.

being down to my last pound or so of home done mutton tallow and with the weather picking up for working outside I'm thinking of doing another boiling. To improve the quality I would really like to get hold of some real mutton suet. In he past I've used fat from the butcher from when he is cleaning up the lamb he has delivered already processed. What I really want is the fat from around the internal organs of older sheep, the true suet. I've tried locally and had no joy so can anyone point me to a source, ideally in east Lancs or the West Riding so I can pick it up, or rather my long suffering wife can chauffeur me? 10 to 20 lb would be ideal although if the supplier wanted processed tallow back as payment I could do more. I'd be happy to pay for it I hasten to add.
