Musty, Smelly Leather - Help

Hi all,
I picked up a nice vintage leather pouch with a view of using it as a possibles bag.

The only problem is that it has been kept in a damp environment and smells very musty.

Any thoughts of how I can get rid of the smell?

Try giving it a coat of good, old fashioned boot polish. I had a similar problem on some axe sheaths I made from an old satchel and it worked a treat on them.

Use Ko-Cho-line leather dressing

I use it to restore harness and other leather for my working horses.

Feeds, revives and preserves leather. It will also make it waterproof.
