Hi, I know the dragonfly is a pretty popular stove so I am hoping someone will know about the particular problem we are having with ours.
First of all we've been using it on average twice a day for 3 years so it's definitely getting really worn out, but so far we've been able to solve all its problems (hearty stove!)
Lately it has been periodically turning off and shooting out air, with intermittent shots of gas. We light it and it blazes then goes out, or at times burns a few seconds before going out. This problem started a few months ago and then it would usually keep burning after going out a few times. Now it will not. So, whatever is wrong has gotten progressively worse.
We've cleaned every piece about a zillion times and all the o-rings are looking good too.
Using our spare stove we have been switching out different parts and have determined that the problem is with the flame adjuster valve assembly. This part has gotten the brunt of our cleaning attention since we turned from white gas to unleaded and has become the victim of many filthy fuel supplies. The o-rings on it look fine however. Looking at the functional flame adjuster valve assembly and the dysfunctional one we cannot see any difference.
Any ideas?
