Lost in the woods
Whilst out and about yesterday I came across this hedgehog out in the afternoon sun.
Knowing that it is a nocturnal creature I knew something was not right so I took the critter home with me and placed it in my enclosed garden along with plenty of water and plenty of worms, also a nice big pile of wood shavings to bed down in if it wanted.
Well in the knight the security lights came on and I looked out to see the hog moving about.
this morning it was still on the lawn but looked unwell also even bigger than the day before.
So I took it to the RSPB at Braypool in Brighton, unfortunately for the Hedgehog it's outlook for the future is not good, but me and the missus did try.
So here are a few pictures of a very fat blown up hedgehog.

Off the beaten track
My Girlfriend just peered over my shoulder and gave suggestions about this poor hedgehog.

The bloating/swelling could be a skin infection caused by mites and the red blotchy skin could be an irritated rash brought on by an allergy to certain plant oils which is very common in european hedgehogs.
