I am a complete technophobe, so much so that I still go to the shop and hire DVDs, anyway no end of ribbing from the family is making me think I need to move on!

So what is there out there, is there any internet services I can download films from? Legally of course!

Thousands of sites - you don't need to download though - you can just stream (watch in real time like iPlayer)

Love Film, Netflix and others offer comprehensive ranges of streamed films. There are other services which are free - but of more dubious PRS provenance like "Solar Movies"

So what do I need todo? Connect the PC to the tele, or do I need some hardware?

All depends what kind of tele you have, more importantly which types of connectors you have in the back and whether or not it will connect to your WiFi/lan.

There is a PC connection like you get from the hard drive to the monitor, apart from that it's just the hdmi and scary connections

Buy an HDMI lead and connect to the TV with HDMI - this does sound and picture - the VGA port only does picture
