Had a bimble down by the river ancholme with my eldest son. It was a chance for a bit of bonding and teaching him some tracking and ID

It was cold to say the least, and the wind looked like it was going to bring rain, though it never did

The boy looking cold

It was a really good morning out and for a 6 year old he.was great company.

The best bit was, he asked if we could go out again soon!

Nice piccies Pignut, looks a fine day out

I discovered the limits of my ventile smock smock today, fours hours of continuous heavy rain coupled with 40mph head on winds and I was starting to get damp inside.

Hey pignut - dod you dodge the hail today then? I got pelted with the stuff when trying to manure the new veg beds ready for Spring - I think BB had the better idea - she was tidying up the new barn :)

Not seen any hail, had a wintery shower as I was walking through Brigg a bit later on...

There are quite a few around. Not sure what would have opened them. No otter tracks or spraint evident
