I have been using one of the hook knive's and I like its steel I had to modify it so it was more like a convex bevell and removed about 3/4 of an inch off the tip (just got in the way) It takes a fair edg with emory and diamond paste etc BUT the handle is near useless, its way too short and too thin. I intend to rehandle with a thicker ash one about 14 inches long and an inch diametre or so with a ferrule (to get easier leverage and steerage seeing as my hand's are shot) What I wanted to ask was how are the mora handles attached to the blades on the hook knife's? Are they a simple tang friction fit or glued in or what (just so as I get a better idae of how to dismantle it. Are they pinned under the ferrule? )
