Modernizing a reciprocating screwdriver, need help

My reciprocating screwdriver only have one "old school bit" left (shown in the picture down to the left) - how do I go about to make this fine tool use modern bits?

How fat is the widest part of the shank on that bit? It looks to be thicker than the shaft on a modern bit holder, or I'd have suggested grinding down a modern bit holder to match the old one's shape.

Do you have any other bits left, preferably knackered ones?

I should have added that sometimes these adapters need a little filing to make them pit properly but it only takes a second.

Also you can still get the original flat and Philips head bits for these screwdrivers. Just search for Yankee Bits on ebay or the like.

The adapter looks great, but shipping cost are 10 pound...

The original bit is 8 mm, same as modern bit holder - think I'll try a bit of grinding & see if I can make an adapter on my own.
