For sale hand-made Alan Wood Woodlore Knife, that I purchased, new circa 2004.
Reluctant to sell, but would like it to go to a good home for someone to enjoy.
The knife has never been used, carried, or sharpened. It features the iconic O1 tool steel blade paired, premium Birdseye Maple handle scales. It comes complete with its original, pristine leather sheath.
Once I’d purchased it, I coated it in Renaissance Wax and stored to protect. It has remained tucked away for over two decades, apart from me checking on it every once in a while.
To prepare it for this sale, the protective wax was carefully dissolved and cleaned off using a strictly non-abrasive solvent method. No abrasives have touched this knife.
The steel is bright and the original factory satin finish remains 100% intact. The electro-chemical maker stamps ("R. Mears Design Woodlore" wolf logo and "A. Wood Maker England") are exceptionally sharp, retaining their deep, original factory contrast without any alteration. The plunge lines are razor-sharp, and the wood scales show zero hand-oil staining or shrinkage.
