have you got a link when i googled not alot came up except one with a nylon handle. Is this the one if so looks like the fiskars / gerber ones in which case they are excellent as a wee camp splitter and for making fuzz sticks etc. I have the gerber paxe axe which looks similar and i find it really sharp and use it where most would use a knife (splitting wood, feathering sticks and making tent pegs etc) i like them others would point you to GB only the only negative i could say is if the handle ever goes thats more or less the end of it whereas wooden ones can easily be replaced. I am hoping to get a cold steel tomahawk later in the year simply because i love the idea behind it... I prefer and use axes more than knives apart from penknives

I have the miltec version of the german army knife mistakenly purchased thinking it would be by Victorinox. Bad mistake, after that I would not touch anything branded miltec with a barge pole, if it were a miltec bargepole it would probably snap anyway.

The axe looks like a copy of a fiskars/Gerber.
I have a fiskars x10 and love it. I also have a hulfators classic which I use for carving, but always use the fiskars for splitting etc. It holds a razor edge and is as easy to sharpen as a Mora knife, I suppose it could be considered a 'throw away' for the price too. I paid about £18 in b&q.
One the other side, if you go for the miltec, there's a chance it could be decent, then again, it depends what you are planning to use it for. Whatever tool you go for, just respect your sharps.

One other thing, I see from the description the back of the head can be used as a hammer. From experience, I would not recommend this. Ever. Its so easy to be hammering away, put it down, and pick it up the wrong way. I went through 12 weeks of physio after doing it.

Try changing the handle on one of those.

shouldn't be too difficult really southey, we managed with stone axe heads for a good while and they never had an eye for a handle. in fact, anyone got one of these that they've broken, i fancy a play :)
