In case anyone is interested, I spotted poundland selling mess tins for a pound each. Unfortunately, they only have the one size, so no nested pair, but might be of use to somebody. I personally carry one in each side of a rucksack, as they fit perfectly like little drawers, but at a pound, can't go far wrong anyway!

With a little cutting an' beating you can make a lid for a Crusader cup and use the rest for a windshield pot-support for a DIY meths stove
