Just a quick question: Membership, does it run date joined then 356 days on, or January 1st to December last no matter when joined?

If it cycled jan-dec and you joined now, you'd only be getting three and a bit months' worth with your tenner, but waiting until January to join would give you a full 12 months' worth for your tenner.

I can't say I'm aware of any forum that works like that, but that was the thrust of his point.

Your general membership doesn't run out, do you mean Full Member/paid subscription level membership? That would run for the term defined by the level you pay for ~ you can pay once for life time Full Member status.

FM status runs for the year following subscription, irrespective of when you pay ~ pay today, get a year FM running from today
