Meat in the embers

After my success last week cooking a chicken breast fillet (with peppers and garden herbs) in the embers of a fire (wrapped in foil). I am wondering about cooking other meats in the embers of the fire. I am cooking for one, so after methods that work with single serving portions.

Any recommendations?

Nice one. I didn't think about the chicken starving the embers of oxygen. I expected a bit more burning than that. I reckon you could spatchcock a small bird and cook it this way. It would be even better if you brined it in a water,salt and sugar solution the night before, to stop it drying out too much. What woods did you use mate?
