Today i found the biggest tree ive ever seen :D it was a sweet chestnut and i marked its location on my map
we spoke to a man who was also there and he said it was there when henry VIII was alive and is over 500 years old
im going back tommorow to measure the trunk :D

i want to measure it to get an idea of actually how big it is, it is a lovely place just to sit though

Hi Leon,

If you can measure the girth at 1.5m that would be good.

As BorderReiver says, pop over to Ancient tree hunt and see if you can add it to the database there.

Nice tree, looks great.
