Anywhere good to get free or very cheap maps for printing? Pref 1:25000 range?

If it's just for a small area you can print them of from the OS maps online. Their premium service is pretty cheap and fairly handy. You can print areas onto A4 or A3 to 1:25 and 1:50, just print them off and pop them in a poly pocket, tape up the top and you're good to go.
