The Desert
A maple tree had fallen up on the mountain. It looked like the base had rotted. The forest service cut it up and left it for locals to collect. I managed to get a little of it. Wood is scarce in my area, so it disappeared quickly.

I carved out a little eating spoon from a piece of it. Nice wood to work with.

Very nice indeed. Cracking grain, and colour. I like the shape too, looks very 21 century ergonomic. Got to love it when a fortuitous find leads to a creation like that.

That's really something else, like Quietone says a real blend of design & material leading to a unique spoon.
I like that a lot, really nice.

That's a beautiful piece of work. Really pleasing to the eye, Sleek, ergonomic and above all very practical too. Fantastic mate.
