Maple burr kuksa

Hi all

A friend kindly gave me a maple log which had a few burr's.

I removed the burr's

And from the largest burr I carved a kuksa
The wood was difficult to carve with the grain changing direction a lot!

Aye, nice burr haul, I've picked up a few more this year and a kuksa is near the top of my 'to carve's, nice to see what a Maple burr kuksa turns out like. Thanks for sharing
