Made a carving knife from an opinel blade!

Yeeeaap.

Made this for my father in law as he's getting more and more interested in carving and pipe making (due to my infectious rambling charm!) and had nothing to carve with other than a pocket knife I gave him a while back.

I had a little slice of walnut that I kept incase I ever found a use for it and the blade was from a previously modded opinel that went a little wrong..

I cleand up the blade, shaped the wood, added a brass plate to enforce the small tang and simply glued/pinned it in place!

I'm sure he'll like it and it was a fun wee project!

It's now fixed, it was a quick job and made from scraps but it's a decent blade!
