For a various reasons, it looks like I am going to be visiting Luxembourg 2 or 3 times next year (Spring and Summer, possibly Autumn as well). I'm thinking of arriving a couple of days early and heading into the woods. I need to end up in the Ardenne area (around Wiltz), so it makes sense to hike in that area.

Does anyone have any experience of hiking in this area? Can anyone recommend good routes to look at?

What is the law on Wild Camping in Luxembourg? What's the Luxembourgish for Meths?

Anything else I need to think about, aside from maybe the boars?

Thanks

Julia

I used to live in Brussels and spent many weekends in Luxembourg.
The City is worth a look as are Ettelbruck and Echternach. "Gorge De Loup" is a nice little place to incorporate in a visit.
I used to Campsite Hostel or B&B it in those days so cannot help with your other questions - but once you get used to them the maps are not bad.
