Just recieved it here internationally. Only took two weeks from the UK, arrived as described, perfect condition, looks new from the supplier SAS Surplus 007 on ebay. First thoughts are its quite compact which is good. its specced as 55 to 60L on the internet, which seems about right. Being a top loader you can stack higher if needed. The old Berghaus Vulcan I just retired was a bit large and looked overkill for overnighters which my trips are more often these days.. Still figuring out how I want all the straps to work but got the compression straps sorted enough to pose my 44 mag carbine with the pack( it gets a waterproof cover for real hikes).

I extended the back to full length which works for me being 6'3" and long spine. Feels quite comfortable, can manage to get a decent bit of weight onto the hips. I have a barrel chest like a rugby player had offspring with something in the zoo, also skinny legs so things tend to slip off my hips but this pack feels good. Any big guys reading this post in the future this pack will cover you.

Plan is to use it like this 99% of the time, only add PLCE rocket packs for extended hikes.

I wanted to thanks the fellas here for their advice on this on the other thread, in parricular lostplanet who found me the link to buy it.

Some photos below with my 1-3 day kit loaded.

Thanks fellas. We have the wet season at the moment so when it clears for a day I will take it for a decent walk with pics. Dont actually mind a walk in the rain as long as Im used to a packs configuration. Nothing worse than working out straps or packing up slowly in a downpour

I have had my Strike for a while now and just starting to mod it. Lovely bits of kit.
Only complaint would be the shoulder straps are a bit thin, it a weird one.
Watch side pockets as I had fun getting side pockets due to zip direction issues.

What’s the strike?

Yeah the Lowe-alpine made bags zip bottom to top and the Dutch army clones are top to bottom

The strike is the 40L day sack. I assume the thin straps are to be less bulky. Maybe for when wedged in a vehicle, chucked on over yoke or under the lid of a big bag.
