woodspirit_carving,

Welcome to Lords Wood
Following the recent updates to Covid 19 I have studied the Government guidelines to find a way forward. Having spoken to the farmer, Police and Warwickshire County Council for more localised advice, I'm pleased to say we can now proceed. We will of course still have to adhere to social distancing rules and be mindful of all the symptoms associated with Covid 19, in addition to this the farmer has installed a NHS track and trace logging device on the route in, be sure to download this App onto your phone prior to attending and bring any PPE you feel you need.

This meet we will be occupying the main Lords Wood, clearing and processing as we establish a more permanent communal area, please bring your relevant cutting tools. Small personal fires are allowed. (read guidelines) There will be a communal charge of £2 each per meet for essential equipment.

Just about everything else you need to know is here

Excellent, that's good news, thank you for organising this.

I'll bring some laminated maps of the area for people to peruse and we can clean them down with alcohol after use.

Put me down for the 30th and 31st nights.

Update

In order to be eligible for a particular grant, the farmer had to graze Woodcock Grove where we were at the last meet. He transferred all of our gear into Lords Wood prior to safeguard it. I went up to check it out the other day, the result is that 80 head of cattle have most definitely left their mark! Until nature cleans the mess up, this area will be out of bounds and we will use the main Lords wood for our meet.

Is there a map showing the route in from the farm to the carpark area? Been looking at the satellite images but it's a bit unclear where we're supposed to go.

Cheers,
Mike
