A great meet once again and thank you to those who managed to attend. we kicked off with a bit of clearing again, opening up the woodland and allowing light and diversity.

This was followed by time out around the communal fire chewing the fat and having a laugh, Mike aka 'pie in the sky' has been handcrafting a chess set over time and was nearing completion, it was a pleasure to see each piece carved and this meet saw the 'board' finished followed by its inaugural game with Diamond Dave!

A couple of other shots followed by a pic of the communal area left clean and tidy ready for the December meet. :)

I'm trying to figure out what the little Timber monolith above the Wheelbarrow is for?
I'd estimate it at , shoulder height maybe?? Only thing I can think of is for Hocking a small deer up to for Butchery?

Side support struts for the fire pit. If you look closer you can see the metal chains, crossbar and kettle/pot hanger, as seen in this pic:

Plural.

Kettles, Dutch ovens etc.

Plus; the area designated for the communal area you see had a tree that had to be felled.

That makes up one of the support struts, hence the regrowth you can see.

I’m looking at the pics on the phone and saw the chess pieces. Nice work Mike!

Lovely pic this one, nice to have some Holly sprouting too, that’ll be just right for Christmas. Hello Dave :)
