I'm looking for permission to extract pine poles if anyone can help or recommend an option that would be great.
I am keen to gather them myself and then prepare them (strip, sand and oil them.)

The most promising option is pine.

They need to be 5meter long poles.

There's a lot of pine forest owned by the MOD where I live. I have written to them to seek permission but I'd like to have a back up plan.
Many thanks.

Thanks mate, through a contact on that list I've been offered 5meter Sweet Chestnut poles at £8 each. Does anyone know if they're suitable?

I'd prefer to pay less and source/ extract them myself though, any further options?
Thanks again.
