This years Log Dancing Challenge was aced by a fine performance by Hammock_Man { even if I say so myself }. Resulting in a fine bump and artistic bruise to the forehead, his performance was topped by a wonderful display of skin removal on the right leg. The addition of a few minor scrapes just added to the total lack of finesse in his plumet to the floor, while the utterance of truncated Anglo Saxon love calls during the all too fast journey to the stone floor added beauty to the event.

Translation
For those who were not there, I tripped over a log and smashed myself into the stone surround of the communal fire area and in doing so flayed skin off the bottom of my right leg, as it slide over the 90 degree edge of said log.
Huge "shout out"/ thanks to the on site first aiders that treated the leg wound such that a week later there is no sign of infection.

After I got back to Medway I spent 16hours waiting a clinician to finally return my call!!!
Long and short of it, I now been seen by the wounds clinic and had it professionally dressed with some "silver" gauze and have to return once a week for 4 weeks.

Once again, huge thanks for the help, care and skill shown on site.

Glad you’ve got it healing up nicely.

Turned around for 5 seconds and you were suddenly horizontal, and you hadn’t even had any beer!

update :- 2nd visit to wound clinic went very well. Healing nicely, slowly but no sign of infection.
Visit too quick for photo sorry.

Awwwwwww it would have gone well in my “Boy’s Album of Pimples and Sores.”

Very pleased that it’s going well.
Very much sympathise with your impatience for it to over and no more appointments.

3rd and final visit. Not all over but no need for dressings anymore.
However. Tuesday morning had to have an Ambulance pop round as I had major Asthma attack that my inhalers just did not touch. Blood O2 was down to 89 at one point. Ambulance at 0830hrs, taxi home 1230hrs. Did spend a fair while breathing into a mask and they must have stuffed 600ml of different meds into my arm, When the NHS does good it does REAL good. 5 days extra meds to take home, sorted.

If you ever wonder where the money goes in the NHS, I think a good share of it is pointed my way, sorry folks.

I'm pleased to hear that you're healing well :)
Sorry to hear about the asthma, and I really agree with you about the NHS. We don't value it enough, we don't give it enough credit for what it does; the staff are brilliant :)
I thank everyone who pays or has paid or will pay their National Insurance.

Well done Paddy.
Asthma is often seen as a trivial thing as it's banded around so many people have it but it's no joke. in a previous job i used to get called to a colleague regularly who suffered from a severe asthma. On many occasions she would go to hosiptal, on some more drastic action was called for like CPR.!

Take care
