Lixada Titanium meths burner, quick comparison.

Another AliExpress purchase….

The package includes: stove; lid; trivet; bag.



It’s similar in size to a standard Trangia burner but has a different burner lay out as there is a ring of holes on the lower rim.

The ti is marginally lighter than the aluminium one and seems to bloom pretty quickly. I may do a timed test but it’s kind of academic. I got it as the Ali burners I have have all taken a few knocks and my old Vargo ti burner leaks.

Nice features are that the reservoir has volume markings (30 & 60ml).



30ml boiled a usgi cup of tap water reasonably fast. I poured half into a mug for coffe. Then topped it up and continued boiling for soup. 30ml should be enough for a 10 minute boil in the bag meal.

The Trivet and lid are option extras.

The lid is a small dish and is not fluid tight. Thee is no groove to hold an o-ring. Nor does it clip or screw in place. It seems to be intended to snuff out the double ring burner.



The trivet is two parts plus a detachable steel wire loop. It fits the Svea burner but not the Lixada alu one.
The trivet I received is pretty thick and inflexible.



All in all a nice little set and a nice option for very lightweight set ups.

Could the dish work as a cold weather starter?

Have you polished that 120mm Svea? I’ve only ever seen one that colour before

The lid may work for that as there is of course no solid rim.

The SVEA in the picture is one I bought off Tengu and it’s in better condition than my older one.

I think you can place your pot/mug straight onto the burner,just incase you lose the trivet stand.

It is a copy of the Evernew burner, by placing the pan directly on the top you only use the lower set of vents, basically simmering compared to the full output of the burner.

I have the same stove. If there's still fuel in the stove after you snuff it then you'll find it doesn't pour out of the stove nicely. If you want to keep the fuel then it's better to invert the stove into the lid and then pour from the lid to your bottle.

I've also found that if you fit the pot stand before it's fully primed then it can actually snuff itself out.

Good tip.

The pot stand I use with other burners as this stove is going to be packed with my “edc” canteen kit. It’s handy for me that it fits the svea as these I use for the youngsters to cook on, so both now have a trivet.
