First the bad news - just noticed that Littlemesters are closing down.:(
Now the good news - they are selling off the remaining stock at 25% discount.:)

I just took delivery of a 4" Lambfoot/Spearpoint combination.

As usual, I have no connection etc. etc.

It's depressing to hear of the old firms slowly going out of business.

I've ordered my two Trevor Ablett knives just now as it will be the last of a vanishng breed of hand assembled British folders.

Sorry Duncan!;)

It has taken me a couple of hours work on mine to get it to cut anything like properley. I guess all these years of buying razor sharp Mora's and Swiss Army's at a budget price has spoilt me a bit. Hope you enjoy your knives.

It certainly is a shame. The truth is, in ten or so year’s time small companies are going to be almost completely nonexistent. It’s the same with antique shops, they have almost all gone out of business thanks to a certain auction site, but most people won’t pay a couple of pounds extra or are too lazy to get outside. I have made a decision to only use local producers for food as it makes me sick seeing supermarkets dominate the market. If it costs me a few more pounds then so be it. As a kid I used to love those little shops with a bit of charm, especially fishing and shooting shops, but again these are so few and far between now. It’s a shame :(
